BEUNOS AIRES

Arrived Wednesday morning and the change in weather has been dramatic. 35· My joints have loosened up just a bit. This is a massive place, tree line streets keep the worst of the sun off but it rains all the time, this rain comes from the buildings all around which are festooned with air con units which drip or spray water non stop.
There is endless shopping for the girls here and at good prices. The people here are very pretty, I have had problems with Christine being silly with a twenty year old, sleek black hair, sharp suit aned broad shouldered polo player. I told her that they only employ these pretty gays for the older woman!!! Huh.
Walked around the town sampling bars and food crossing the widest street in the world, take your life in your hands here, they take no pity on the innocent tourist.
Did the touristy thing that night and went to the Tango Thearter, really good food, and the caberet was really very good, those legs go all over the place, it makes you wonder how they get them in certain places, I invited Christine onto the floor but.........
The audience paticipation is great. In the main they are not in fact toutist but real Tango fans, but as the Brazilian guy next tyo me said, "Its only one dance, it can get boring after a while" but he has seen it before.
Fell into bed after forty four hours without any real sleep and died!
Next morning we were out on the streets again and found the professional dog walker in full control of a pack of ten plus and they did not give him any hassle. Even the thickest mastiff finally put his backside on the ground when he was told to. Great to watch.
Then on to Bariloche, our next stop some one thousand miles south, and as usual we were late again. On the way to the airport we passed the memorial to the fallen in the Falklands, it was made out of the metal from aircraft used in the war, we were not told but we think they were the British ones!!!!. This is made up into the shape of a flower which opens when the sun come out and closes otherwise, massive, thought provoking and beautiful.
There are phtos to come but Christine is having problems, this PC only does Spanish, we cannot change it and she has had enough today, they are boring anyway, me in a boatyard, me by tree, me at, me me me me and so you get the idea, more dramatic ones coming your way soon. Watch this space!!! Love to all.
